March: Loving, Wanting, & Over
In an effort to reflect more on each month that passes by, I am starting this new mini series on my blog! Each month I will touch on what I have been loving, wanting, and over. I anticipate this post to vary in lengths month to month, as you can see below I have a lot to say about what I am over and not much I am loving. Ready for spring to come into full bloom here in NYC and to escape to some much needed warm weather next week!
LOVING—
Artichokes, cold brew, my golden coil planner, & reformer pilates.
WANTING—
Tall white cowboy boots, a fresh spring tote bag, updated organization system in my room, & warmer weather.
OVER—
The “that girl aesthetic”… This idea of chasing an aesthetic is not for me. I found it caused so much anxiety in my day to day life, even if I was not seeing anybody! The thing with an “aesthetic” is that it focuses on how other people perceive you… In 2022, I set an intention to shift my focus to how I see myself, rather than how others see me. It gets so exhausting having to post on social media to please others and ensure they see you as you want them too, because in reality every single person is going to have their own unique view of you in the end — that you cannot control. So, no I am not drinking green juices every morning, working out everyday, always dressed well, or reading a new book each week lol.
I am just doing me, folks! I encourage you to do the same :)
