SPRING BREAK IN THE WINDY CITY
HOLY MOLY. It feels good to be blogging again! Honestly, this semester has taken a lot out of me, and I am busier than I have been in a long time. Being busy is no excuse for not blogging, but I simply needed some time to regroup so I could put out great content.

What a more perfect time to get back into things than Spring Break! I went to Chicago, which yes you are probably wondering why on Earth would you go to Chicago for Spring Break. I visited my friends who live here and I found a really affordable flight, I could not pass it up! I had three jam-packed days in this windy city, all thanks to my incredible tour guide and photographer, Amanda. This post is pretty long, but it's worth the read!

First things first, The Bean! Of course, we started our trip very touristy at Millennium Park and then stopped for some deep dish and Garrett's popcorn. We actually ended up being able to go around the city with our counselor from Ionian Village, Tia! It was definitely a mini #IVXVI reunion. Deep dish was good, but Garrett's popcorn was exceptional!

Our next day in Chicago was spent almost entirely in the city! I must say, I fell in love with Chicago (maybe not the weather though) and was not expecting it. We started our day with lunch at 3 Arts Cafe at Restoration Hardware, while waiting for a table we were able to explore RH, so no complaints here! The rooftop was my by far my favorite part, so sleek and fantastic views.
I am absolutely obsessed with this look and the photos Amanda was able to capture. The jacket is actually my YiaYia's (grandmother's) she gave me over winter break because she didn't want it anymore. She was beyond shook when I showed her how I styled it for a trendier look! I love the monotones of brown and cream this look has, and surprisingly enough the jeans are what provide a pop. Of course, y'all know I had to throw some cheetah in there! The scarf really ties the whole look together. We spent the rest of our day walking the city, shopping on Michigan Ave, and finished with a classic Chicago style hotdog, big fan.

My last full day in Chicago was also a long and busy one! Amanda and I made DryBar appointments for the morning, which changed her life, basically. Right when we finished our blowouts, IT STARTED SNOWING. I was beyond excited; it was my goal for this trip to see snow! Amanda totally made fun of me, but I could not help getting so giddy lol. The snow was stunning!
We then headed to brunch at the Hampton Social, which is an iconic Instagrammable spot in Chicago, because of the "rose all day" neon sign! This place was a perfect mix of beachy and character while remaining very modern. Plus, the food was actually really delicious! We ended my trip at the John Hancock Building for the breath-taking views of the city.
Everyone, please take a moment for how perfect Amanda's blowout was... great!

Beyond happy, I was able to spend Spring Break with one of my favorite people exploring her city. I am still amazed by how much of Chicago I was able to see in less than 5 days! Fell in love with yet another city, cannot wait for the next one. I hope you all enjoyed the photos and my outfits, and thank you so much for reading! I promise I will get back into blogging more regularly soon.
